Now on their seventh album, The Thermals show no sign of fading away, despite the title of their latest We Disappear, out now on Saddle Creek. With beloved producer Chris Walla behind the boards for the fourth time, the Portland punk trio continue to incite riots with their anthemic, fist-pumping songs. Here in the KEXP studios, the band was joined by Jessica Boudreaux from Summer Cannibals, allowing frontman Hutch Harris to drop the guitar for half the set - a vulnerable, unadorned stance he's been trying for the past year and a half as a stand-up comedian. The Thermals kick off this year's Concerts at the Mural on Friday, August 5th with Acapulco Lips and Mommy Long Legs. Until then, enjoy this energetic KEXP in-studio session:
