  • Hugger-extraordinaire Charles Bradley shares a clip today for the track "Ain't It a Sin," a single off his brand new album Changes, which hit stores last week. Directed by Poull Brien, the video features the Screaming Eagle of Soul dancing in a warehouse with his band The Extraordinaires. See him dance in person when they play Neumos on Monday, May 23rd. • They may live in Europe now, but we still think of The Posies as an honorary local band. Founding members Jon Auer and Ken Stringfellow return with their eighth full-length, Solid States, out May 20th on Lojinx. Check out two tracks from the album below. Via a press release, Auer said, "I think it’s our most adventurous record to date. There was the conscious idea to strive for something different from the Posies of past, to use different colors and flavors ["of the month?"- Ed. note]. That was the plan, but then life had its way with our concepts and schedules, and threw many profound, out-of-the-park curveballs in our direction. By this point, we’d already painted ourselves into a musical corner, which ultimately left us no other option but to figure our way out, bit by bit, wave form by wave form." The boys have also announced the Solid States Secret Shows tour, where dates and cities are announced, but not the venue, so catch them somewhere in Seattle on Thursday, May 26th. [Brooklyn Vegan]

  • With his side project Spirit Club, Nathan Williams of Wavves brings his laid-back surf-style to a cover of the Nine Inch Nails track "That's What I Get" off their 1989 breakthrough album Pretty Hate Machine. The surprising tribute will be released as the b-side to a 7" single out April 15th via Williams' label Ghost Ramp. The band plans to drop a new full-length this Spring. [Pitchfork]

  • '90s supernova Liz Phair is currently on tour with the Smashing Pumpkins (read a review of the Seattle stop on the KEXP Blog here). Among your faves from last century (Ugh, who feels old?), she presented a new love song track "Our Dog Days Behind Us." Watch fan shot footage below: [Stereogum]
