Car Seat Headrest came dressed for success to their first KEXP in-studio session. Adorned in suits and ties, the young Seattle band got down to business with a fantastic five-song set of lo-fi epic indie rock. Despite his relatively young age, frontman and songwriter Will Toledo (reportedly just 22-years-old) already has eleven albums under his belt. For his Matador Records debut, Teens Of Style, he curated a selection of those tracks, even reworking a few for the release. And just like Matador alumni Robert Pollard of Guided By Voices, Toledo proves prolific: they've already got another album in the can, titled Teens of Denial, produced by local legend Steve Fisk. Watch their in-studio session from last Fall below. Car Seat Headrest play this Saturday, January 9th at The Sunset.
