KEXP Presents: Girls That Shred Benefit for Skate Like a Girl

It's gonna be a busy weekend for Seattle grassroots organization Skate Like A Girl! Not only are they partnering with KEXP to present the 16th Annual Expansions MLK Unity Celebration on Sunday, January 17th, but on Friday, January 15th, we're teaming up with them to present the 3rd Annual Girls That Shred Benefit at the Vera Project!

This year's line-up guarantees a good time: Dude York, Ever-So-Android, Mommy Long Legs, and the Seattle debut of Gutless, a new trio of Lisa Prank, Julia Shapiro (Chastity Belt, Childbirth) and Bree McKenna (Tacocat, Childbirth).Skate Like a Girl empower youth (not exclusively girls, but mostly girls) through skateboarding workshops and programs. Proceeds from the show will go towards the Youth Employment Skateboarding (YES) program’s sixth summer in operation. Tickets are on sale now here.
