  • We haven't heard much from Shabazz Places this year. Thankfully, Seattle's own hip-hop outfit have returned with a contribution to Adult Swim's summer singles series. "The Mystery of Lonnie Don" is a fuzzy and haunting track that's worth the wait, listen below. Here's hoping we hear more from them soon. [CoS]

  • Arcade Fire's feature film The Reflektor Tapes will hit theaters on September 23. Directed by Kahlil Joseph, the film will feature a new song as well as 20 minutes of never-before-seen footage. Today, the band has released the official trailer, which is sure to amp up excitement. [Pitchfork]

  • Last night, UK dance-pop group Hot Chip stopped by Conan to promote their recently released album Why Make Sense?. They performed a stunningly electric rendition of their track "Started Right." [SPIN]

  • Kevin Morby just announced he signed with Dead Oceans to produce his third solo LP. In anticipation of it, he's released a 7-inch single featuring two unreleased songs, "Moonshiner" and "Bridge to Gia". You can preview “Moonshiner” below and pickup the 7-inch on September 4th. [Paste]
