  • Both Mac DeMarco and Run the Jewels filmed sessions for the Black Cab Sessions video series — sadly, not together, but it's still pretty darn great. Watch our gap-toothed friend perform a solo acoustic version of "The Way You'd Love Her" off his forthcoming Another One, and see El-P and Killer Mike (with vocalist Boots) take on "Early" from Run the Jewels 2. Videos at this link: [Pitchfork]
  • Winter is coming... in Australia, that is. At a recent show in Brisbane, Brooklyn band TV On The Radio revealed their nerdiness by covering the theme song to HBO’s hit series Game Of Thrones. Frontman Tunde Adebimpe shouted out characters’ names before they transitioned into the track “Ride” off last year's full-length Seeds. Watch fan shot video of the performance below. Here's hoping they take on Orange is the New Black when they stop by the Capitol Hill Block Party in late July in Seattle. [Stereogum]

  • If you've never been to Wilco's Solid Sound Festival, the band are bringing the fest to you, with a new documentary announced this morning titled Every Other Summer. Directed by Christoph Green and Fugazi's Brendan Canty, a press release states the film "offers a peek into the festival’s utopian vibe and the positive impact it has had on the small rust belt town in The Berkshires where it takes place." The documentary will be available on June 18th, and you can watch the trailer below: [Pitchfork]

  • UK band Palma Violets stopped by the Late Late Show with James Corden last night for a driving performance of "Girl, You Couldn’t Do Much Better On The Beach," off their latest full-length Danger in the Club. Watch below, and keep track of all these late-night musical highlights with KEXP's TV Eye column. [Consequence of Sound]
