KEXP and Goodwill have been teaming up all month in celebration of Earth Day. The result has been an April focused on recycling and reuse. KEXP DJ's even played a full day of tracks that had been "recycled" (remixed, covered or sampled). The month long partnership is culminating in a special night of music and goodwill with a stacked local Seattle lineup. Come on down to the Tractor Tavern in Ballard on Wednesday, April 29th, to hear Seattle favorites The Moondoggies, Deep Sea Diver and Shelby Earl while supporting both KEXP and Goodwill. Tickets are going fast!

Seattle Goodwill is a long time advocate of recycling and reuse. This year on Earth Day, they launched the Break Up For Good campaign, which urged celebrities to break up with their clothes for good, and donate them to Goodwill. Seattle musicians, actors and some of KEXP's very own DJ's contributed to the cause. The clothes will be on auction until May 1st, and can be found by searching "#Breakup4Good" on Ebay. The proceeds will benefit Seattle Goodwill, who was able to help over 9,000 people get free job training and education last year, all thanks to donations. The show this Wednesday, much like the Break Up For Good campaign, will utilize Seattle talent to support Seattle Goodwill. The Moondoggies:Moondoggies released their best record to date in the form of Adios I'm a Ghost To Me via Hardly Art. It's an album influenced by the idea of change and lead-man Kevin Murphey's want "to have no form." Formless or not, the band mixes Pacific Northwest folk with influences ranging from Pink Floyd to Nirvana to great results. With rousing hooks, haunting song writing and some beautiful harmonies, Moondoggies is an act you're not going to want to miss.

Deep Sea Diver: Deep Sea Diver is Jessica Dobson, Peter Mansen, Garrett Gue & Elliot Jackson. If the name Jessica Dobson is ringing some bells, its because she has performed with the likes of Beck, Conor Oberst and The Shins. She left touring with the latter to work on "her baby," Deep Sea Diver. And thank goodness she did, because Deep Sea Diver makes some excellently written indie pop. Jessica Dobson has a voice that will stay with you long after the shows over, and her guitar skills have been validated by some of the best indie bands out there. If you need any more encouragement, their EP Always Waiting should do the trick.

Shelby Earl:Seattle songwriter Shelby Earl has a beautiful voice that she expertly accompanies with intriguing instrumentation and captivating songwriting. Every one from NPR to Rolling Stone has praised her, and Ben Gibbard even claimed she has "the most heartbreakingly beautiful voice in Seattle." It's hard to argue with the Death Cab For Cutie frontman, and her voice is sure to thrive in the intimate environment of the Tractor Tavern.

Doors are at 7 PM, tickets are $15 and the event is 21+. Buy tickets here. Also, check out the KEXP Earth Day Resources and Video Roundup blog posts for more information on KEXP's Earth Day coverage.
