San Francisco’s Moon Duo once again light up the KEXP live room as they launch into their special psychedelic blend of astronomically awesome audio that is bound to elevate your mind into an altered consciousness. Casting some light on their newly released LP, Shadow of the Sun, the duo have built and improved upon their past releases. Not only does Ripley Johnson display some of his best guitar work to date while Sanae Yamada creates her most luminous electronic melodies, but the rhythms reveal serious drive, so much so that the duo became a trio, adding drummer John Jeffrey to give their live sound more weight. Watch and listen as Moon Duo holds it down like gravity live in the KEXP studio, crafting hit after hit until you see more stars than Spock did in his first light year.
