  • NYC-based project Hercules & Love Affair have always had a knack for pairing their dance tracks with excellent guest vocalists (remember their collaboration with Antony of Antony & the Johnsons in 2008?). The continue that tradition with none other than John Grant -- hear him on the track "I Try To Talk To You" below. The new H&LA album, The Feast Of The Broken Heart, hits stores May 26th on Moshi Moshi. [Stereogum]

  • Indie legend Dean Wareham (of Galaxie 500, Luna, and Dean & Britta) has shared a new video for the track "Heartless People" off his most recent solo album, Emancipated Hearts. He's coming back to town, playing Saturday, June 28th at the Crocodile. [Under the Radar]

  • Not to be outdone by her former Sleater-Kinney bandmates in Wild Flag, Corin Tucker has embarked on her own supergroup. Tentatively called super-Earth, the Portland group features R.E.M. guitarist Peter Buck, guitarist Scott McCaughey (Minus 5), guitarist Kurt Bloch (Fastbacks), and drummer Bill Rieflin (Swans, Ministry). The band make their live debut tonight in Portland at the Secret Society Ballroom. [Consequence of Sound]

  • During a recent visit to NME, Sharon Van Etten recorded this lovely acoustic version of the track "Every Time The Sun Comes Up," from her forthcoming album Are We There, out May 27th on Jagjaguwar. Watch below, and don't miss Sharon, playing Saturday, July 5th at The Neptune with Courtney Barnett. [Under the Radar]
