As part of the Less Artists More Condo's series put out by Famous Class, Cass McCombs gives us his sparse and sad, "If You Loved Me Before." LAMC is a series which benefits Ariel Panero Memorial Fund at VH1 Save the Music, which helps put music back in schools. Thom Yorke's most recent side project, Atoms For Peace , whose name comes from a 1953 Eisenhower speech, Amok is streaming at NPR. Eisenhower was worried about the industrial atomic turn our country seemed to be taking back during the Cold War, and thus Amok lends itself to similar futuristic fears, with it's clattering electronic sounds behind wild shaking vocals.

Today you can stream Autre Ne Veut's album Anxiety at @ Pitchfork Advance - as well as read a great interview with Arthur Ashin over at FACT Magazine. Pulling from r&b, the pop album skips the part where pop is supposed to contain simply harmony and appeal - instead presenting an honest, discordant, dramatic (can't miss that one), and intelligent album. As Ashin told FACT about the term "failure pop" which was used to describe Anxiety, "That’s failure pop to me: attempting to do something but you don’t really know what you’re doing, and then the outcome is kind of beautiful in its own way, but it has nothing to do with pre-defined expectations.”

Jack White has been named Record Store Day Ambassador - and in this 3-minute video he gives a quirky tour around the United Record Pressing in Nashville, and in the announcement he expounds upon the various virtues of record stores, which include "talking to each other face-to-face, exchanging ideas and turning each other on," and rails (a bit) again the odd conspiracies of the music industry. Bonnaroo's 2013 lineup is currently almost done being announced via a youtube video hosted by Weird Al Yankovic. Confused yet? Ignoring the method of delivery the line-up includes Paul McCarty, Wilco, Animal Collective, the awesome Bjork, Earl Sweatshirt, David Byrne and St. Vincent, The Lumineers, The National, The xx, Beach House, Cat Power, Divine Fits, Swans, Purity Ring, Killer Mike, Wild Nothing, and honestly I have to stop now because the list goes on for so long.
