Take one DJ, one producer and one MC, mix with an eclectic lineup of guests and wrap it in a post-apocalyptic narrative, and you get one of the most unique groups to come about in the past decade, In the year 2000, Kid Koala, Dan The Automator and Del The Funky Homosapien joined forces as Deltron 3030 to battle world-dominating corporations in an imagined futuristic dystopia. While their self-titled release became something of a cult hit, the crew returned to their individual projects before rejoining thirteen years later to find that their world had changed, often for the worse, but that together, on the newly released Event 2, they were still a winning combination. Add three more band members and a 15-piece orchestra and chorus to their live set at the Triple Door as part of KEXP's VIP Club concert series, and you get a mind-blowing experience.
