Los Angeles based quartet Criminal Hygiene have been slowly earning their dues since 2011, playing every venue in LA multiple times as well as touring nationally, playing shows with bands like Twin Peaks, Bleached, Together PANGEA and The Whigs, and earning a loyal fanbase. On March 1, they’re releasing a new studio album titled Run It Again via Dangerbird Records. The 10-song record was recorded at Future Shock with Alex Newport (Death Cab For Cutie, Frank Turner, Bloc Party) and sees the band introspectively referencing the pizza parlor where the entire band works, drunk friends, R.E.M., hollow relationships and more.

Our Song of the Day is early single and album opener “Hardly News,” which is accompanied by a music video directed by Ryan Baxley (FIDLAR, Culture Abuse, The Front Bottoms) that focuses on a fictional version of band’s meteoric (and rather undeserving) success and quick downturn. Former MTV/VHI video DJ Matt Pinfield even makes an appearance. Watch the clip below.
