Emma Witmer describes the music she makes under her synth-pop project gobbinjr as "saccharine-sweet, sentimental tunes, which often hide darker themes of fear and anxiety." The description is apt for single “November 163,” which tells the story of a relationship gone sour. While that may sound like the song will be a sad and tragic tale, instead Witmer comes out stronger than before, knowing she’s learned something through the experience. “I’ll be alone but i think that’s fine/I’m not as hopeless as you might like,” she proclaims. The song comes off of the recently released Ocala Wick, an album entirely written, performed, recorded, and produced by Witmer and released via Topshelf Records.
