JusMoni is the alias of Seattle-based R&B singer/songwriter Moni Tep. Earlier this year, she unveiled her latest release Sweet To Me, which is self-described as "A collection of experiences as they pertain to the sweeter side of JusMoni's sensibilities." Our song of the day, "Characters," exemplifies this with a sexy downtempo beat laid below the beautiful intertwining vocals of WaxTheProducer and JusMoni, working together harmoniously. Sweet To Me follows last year's JusMoni as Saffroniaa and includes a feature from her Sway & Swoon partner Stas THEE Boss on the track "Got It On Tape." There are a number of opportunities to see JusMoni this summer, including at Chop Suey on Thursday, June 28 with Stas THEE Boss and Falon Sierra, at Nectar Lounge on Saturday, June 30 with Industrial Revelation and High Pulp, and at Mercer x Summit Block Party on Saturday, August 18.  Sway and Swoon's Pride party is going down this Saturday, June 23 in North Beacon Hill from 12-6pm. Below, watch JusMoni perform on Martín's KEXP in-studio from earlier this year.
