Spanish dream pop meets shoegaze trio Linda Guilala (named after the Godzilla-like monster at the center of the Japanese film The X from Outer Space) was founded by Iván González and Eva M. López, both former members of the punk band Juniper Moon. The released their sophomore album Psiconáutica in 2016 and, since then, have spent the majority of the time on an extensive tour supporting the album. In January, they surprise released a limited-run 7” of the songs “Primavera Negra” on the A-side and “Ausencia Es Presencia” on the flip. The duo were largely influenced by legendary shoegaze band My Bloody Valentine on the latest releases and that doesn’t seem to be stopping anytime soon. Primavera Negra was recorded in Kaiju Studios in Vigo and produced by frontwoman Eva M. López and mastered by Xavier Alarcón. The song comes with a video directed by Sara Chuerches that follows López through a barren landscape.
