UK trio Muncie Girls released their sharp sophomore album, Fixed Ideals, at the end of August. The album is largely centered around mental health, making incisive and relatable commentary for anyone who’s struggled. Our Song of the Day, “Bubble Bath,” is one of the more optimistic tracks on the album and integrates actual bubble sound effects as a sort of instrument. Below, watch the video for Fixed Ideals lead single “Picture of Health,” which was directed by Jack Barraclough and intercuts footage of the band playing with a narrative of friends checking in with each other and holding themselves accountable.
Muncie Girls will be in Seattle on Tuesday, November 13 to play the Funhouse.
