KEXP 90.3 FM - where the music matters

This PDX trio is bringing the funk back to hip-hop for certain. The Lifesavas LP “Gutterfly” is a pseudo-concept soundtrack about an imaginary blaxpoitation film. Much like Curtis Mayfield’s “Superfly” they speak about street struggles not to glorify, but to educate and uplift. This live set features tracks from that album. And it knocks. - W. Myers
