Eduardo Mendonça, multitalented Brazilian recording artist, vocalist, composer, and musical arranger, has performed throughout Bahia, Brazil, including command performances for Brazilian President João Baptista Figueiredo and for Pope John Paul II. He was featured in Paul Simon's 1991 documentary music video, "Born at the Right Time," and currently teaches and performs in Washington public schools and heads his own Bellevue-based company, Show Brazil Productions.
Lee Higgins is a musician and professor at Liverpool Institute for the Performing Arts. He has generated broad interest in samba and Brazilian music and dance in the UK. In addition to an active career as a freelance musician locally and nationally, his range of work in participatory arts includes projects with arts groups, the community, and projects using music as a healing tool. He is also the course director at the Irish World Music Centre at the University of Limerick.
