91.5 FM, "Radio New York" (WNYE) is in the beginning stages of a massive transformation – staking out new territory on the FM dial.
For years, 91.5 FM - better known by its call letters, WNYE - hosted a variety of educational, cultural, and Public Radio shows. But a new dawn is on the horizon, and Radio New York promises to bring some fresh ideas into the local New York City radio market.
In the coming months, many new, exciting, and engaging programs will be added to the programming slate, as the station follows in the wake of its groundbreaking sister TV station, NYC TV (Channel 25), which is playing a pivotal role in revolutionizing and redefining non-commercial broadcast and cable television.
To that end, KEXP's John in the Morning will be broadcasting live from the WNYE studios Sept 12-15, from 9AM-Noon, EST. If you live in New York you can listen to The Morning Show on 91.5FM. John will also feature a live performance and interview each day.
