Catching guitar fever as a kid, Johnny Horn has spent a life immersed in recording, producing and djing rhythm & blues and reggae. Growing up with several family members in The Wrecking Crew, music is a deep family tradition. When Outernational left the Positive Vibrations show, Johnny came in as a replacement and a vital connection was made with KCMU. After working in New York for a year and witnessing the 9/11 attacks, Johnny came back to KEXP and Preachin’ The Blues was a natural fit. Still busy as a gigging bassist, recording and writing continuously, Johnny has made the PTB Show a staple of Sunday morning listening, sharing a wealth of R&B history and culture.
