kexp staffScott Bell : General Manager, KEXP Online Service
I grew up listening to underground hippie radio stations located somewhere in Boulder Canyon. I went to college in Austin, in part to enjoy the local music scene driven by the likes of Jerry Jeff Walker, Doug Sahm and Delbert McClinton. I went to law school in Greenwich Village, where I treasured my vinyl recording of “Enola Gay” by OMD. I moved to Seattle in the early ‘80s, discovered KCMU shortly thereafter, and became a major fan. I called KEXP 15 years later (after hearing Joe Strummer’s “Coma Girl” for the first time on my morning commute) to volunteer as a member of the Advisory Council. After almost 32 happy years as a lawyer, I recently decided to make KEXP my day job. Now my days are even happier!
