KEXP SEEKS JUNIOR SOFTWARE DEVELOPER

KEXP’s Online Team is looking for a great Junior Software Developer to help us shape the next generation of experiences for KEXP listeners. The ideal candidate has a strong background in Python, Django, Agile software development, and the ability to work at all levels of our technology stack. As a developer on our small, fast-moving team, you will get to work on a wide variety of projects from developing a new CMS platform to shaping listener experiences across all of our digital distribution platforms. KEXP SEEKS UPSTREAM PROGRAMMING LIAISON

KEXP is looking for an experienced music writer with a background working with festivals or live music venues to serve as liaison between KEXP and the Upstream Music Fest team. The Upstream Programming Liaison will research and discover local music, assist with festival booking, and publish weekly articles to KEXP’s website. The ideal candidate has a deep connection to and passion for the music of the Pacific Northwest, as well as the skills to share that passion widely. The position will collaborate with the KEXP DJs and Music Director to ensure alignment with KEXP’s programming and to highlight genre-specific local artists. KEXP is a Seattle-based non-commercial radio station and dynamic arts organization that provides rich music experiences on the air, online, and on the streets. More than 200,000 listeners from around the world tune in to the station each week over the air and online, and KEXP produces and broadcasts over 500 live performances each year.

KEXP’s programming staff of 40 DJs, who are widely recognized as experts in their field, present emerging artists alongside established bands. Both variety mix and specialty shows spotlight new sounds as well as long-time favorites from the Pacific Northwest, across the country, and around the world.
